Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Spectra Sphere LLC (we, us, or our) collects, uses, and shares information when you use MedLibrary, our website, applications, and related services (collectively, the Services). Spectra Sphere LLC is the merchant of record for purchases; card payments are handled by a third-party payment processor on our behalf, as described in our Legal notice and Payment terms. By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, such as when you create an account, enroll in courses, contact support, or subscribe to communications. This may include your name, email address, account credentials, billing-related contact details, and messages you send us.
We also collect certain technical information automatically when you use the Services, such as device type, browser type, general usage information, and approximate location derived from IP address, to operate, secure, and improve the Services.
Payments
The merchant of record for purchases on MedLibrary is Spectra Sphere LLC. Card payments are processed by a third-party payment processor and associated acquiring-bank/card-network infrastructure on our behalf.
When you complete checkout, payment information is submitted through our payment processor's channels. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Our payment processor and related financial entities process payment data under their own legal terms and privacy notices.
We may receive limited payment-related information (for example transaction identifiers, authorization status, masked card metadata, and risk signals) to fulfill purchases, grant access to paid content, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
Payment authorization and disputes
When you submit payment details at checkout, you authorize the applicable payment entities to charge your selected payment method for the amounts and taxes presented at checkout. You represent that you are authorized to use that payment method.
Payment disputes (including chargebacks), authentication, and card-network rules may be handled according to our payment processor, acquiring-bank, and card-issuer processes, in addition to any rights available under applicable law.
How we use information
We use collected information to provide, maintain, and improve the Services; process purchases and subscriptions; communicate with you; detect and prevent fraud and security incidents; comply with law; and enforce our agreements.
How we share information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Services (such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, and support), under appropriate safeguards.
We share payment-related data with our payment processor and related payment entities as needed for lawful payment processing, to process authorized payments, and to manage fraud or disputes. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer, as permitted by law.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, secure sessions, measure usage, and improve the Services. For details on categories and controls, see our Cookie Policy.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary based on data type and legal requirements.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal data, or object to certain uses. You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages. To exercise rights, contact us using the details below; we may need to verify your request.
For information processed solely within our payment processor's systems, that processor may be best placed to respond directly under its applicable legal obligations.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
International transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection rules than your country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will publish the updated version and revise the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
